Sonoma Winemaker, Benjamin Flajnik on The Bachelorette
ABC's The Bachelorette featured a small Sonoma winery on the premier episode. Winemaker of Evolve Winery (Sonoma County), Benjamin Flajnik, is one of the bachelors looking to steal Ashley Hebert's heart.
Who: Benjamin Flajnik
Bio: Benjamin Flajnik is and always has been an entrepreneur at heart. Benjamin studied music production in college and crafted his own wine and beer on the side. He then set out in the field of Internet advertising and soon realized his true passion was outside: creating, crafting, and getting his hands dirty. Benjamin was born and raised in Sonoma, California, which provided him the appropriate foundation for his passion for wine and the art of winemaking. Benjamin is currently studying winemaking at UC Davis and has worked in the alcoholic beverage industry on/off for the past eight years.

About Evolve Winery
Evolve Winery was founded by two friends who have always had a passion for unique wines. After drinking numerous bottles of Sauvignon Blanc on their roof deck balcony in San Francisco (just the warm days), it occurred to them that they needed to start making their own wine. It was an easy decision for Benjamin and Mike to use only the finest fruit from sustainable, organic, and bio-dynamic growers, as it’s important to taste the vineyard’s “true” identity. It is Evolve’s personal philosophy to enjoy life with great food, friends and of course, wine. So, from Benjamin & Mike, “Boire à Votre Santé!”
Michael Benziger has spent his entire life in and around the wine industry. Being an active part of a successful family winery, he has learned the ins and outs of winemaking and the industry. Michael’s family winery is also certified Biodynamic which has given him insight into the organic wine industry and process. Michael has spent most of his professional life in sales for Benziger Family Winery and Young’s Market Company, allowing him to gain tremendous knowledge about the marketplace and consumers.
